The Visa Application Centres (VAC) of Sweden assist Ukrainian nationals and foreigners legally residing in Ukraine with the visa application process. This site provides you with details related to your application submission and collection process along with other useful information you need to know. The visa application centres are located in Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Donetsk and Kharkiv
Applicants who wish to apply for a visa are requested to kindly read the
information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to
help you to prepare your documents accurately and will reduce the risks of your
application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.
The visa applications are to be submitted at the Swedish Visa Application Centre in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Donetsk and Kharkiv.Visa Application Centre will accept Short Term applications only. The applications must be submitted either by the applicant in person or by representative on behalf of applicant. i.e. should not be sent by post. All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be assessed by the Embassy of Sweden, located in Kyiv.
Applications with Long Term visas have to be submitted directly at the Embassy
upon prior scheduled appointment.

All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be sent to the
Embassy of Sweden in Kyiv for assessment and resolution. Visa Application
Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by the Embassy.
Please Note:
In order to receive a SCHENGEN-visa from the Embassy of Sweden in Kyiv your
main destination must be SWEDEN or the longest part of your stay must be within
Sweden. If you plan to visit several Schengen countries and the duration of the
stay in those countries are the same, the first entry must be through Sweden.
Application Processing Time:
Usual application processing time is 10 calendar days excluding the day of
documents' submission. A visa application should be submitted at least 10
calendar days before the intended visit and cannot be submitted earlier than
three months before the intended date of travel.
There is also an option to submit a Short Term visa application directly to the
Embassy of Sweden, Kyiv. In this case an appointment at the Embassy is
required. You can
schedule an appointment online or by calling the Call Centre on the
phone number (+38) 044 594 96 23 or (+38) 050 117 90 51. This service is free
of charge. The visa processing time for these applications is approximately 10
calendar days.
After submission you can also check the status of your application online by simply providing the unique VAC reference number and your Date of Birth. VAC reference number (starts with SDKA, SDLA, SDOA, SDDA or SDKH) can be found on the Invoice-Cum-Receipt provided by Submission Officer at the Visa Application Centre at the time of submission.
